A Small Garden just for Us

The Shimmering collection is about memory, and the way time softens it. Sun spots burned into your eyes, asphalt paths almost melting in the heat, and the strange way a place that once felt ordinary becomes, in recollection, the happiest time you've ever known.

My work is rooted in the legacy of Impressionism and Fauvism. I'm not interested in depicting a landscape faithfully - I want to capture a feeling. Texture and brushwork carry a lot of that meaning for me: they let you trace the movement of thought, the moment the hand followed the mind.
